Our third and final trip.....leaving in just 11 days!!!

Well we are finally here. Almost to the end of this adoption that has seem to have taken FOREVER!!! We would like to share some of the blessings God has bestowed upon us. First we were able to get the plane tickets for almost $1,800 cheaper then we originally thought. We do have to leave from Washington/ Dulles, since flying out of Charlotte was just too expensive. It has been so neat to see God's provision over our family. We have had church members bless us again and again. Our sweet friend Lauren, who is coming to Latvia with me and the boys, sent letters to her friends and family asking for prayer and support and they have rallied around her and blessed our adoption. We have a friend all the way in California who held a huge fundraiser event for our adoption! One of the young ladies from our church blessed us beyond our dreams. My sister helped us get our plane tickets when it seemed like it was going to be impossible, and is putting us up in her house in Maryland as we travel back and forth across the world. We truly are blessed! We have just been so humbled by all the outpouring of our church family and friends. So we leave on July 23rd, have our medical appointment 2 hours after we land, should be fun...lol! After flying for 24 hours! And the 24th we have our appointment at the embassy. We are just praying this goes well and smoothly, God is in control and He will not leave us stranded in Latvia, I am sure of it. And God willing we will arrive home the 31st with 2 of America's newest citizens!!! With most adoptions thats when everyone meets your new kiddos, but we have been blessed to have the boys home since the first trip. We have been getting to know each other and bonding. Since they have been home they have been camping, been to Florida, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida and Tennessee! They have seen the Great Smoky Mountains. They have been swimming. They have seen a few minutes old goat kid. They have chased chickens, have had birthdays and birthday presents. They have been to church and met the Church family that loves them. They have met their Meme, Doo Dah, ReRe, Nana, Papa, Uncle Mike, Aunt Vicki, Uncle Ron, Aunt Bridget, Uncle Joe Paul, Cousin Luke, Great Grandmas, and Great Uncles and Aunts. They met their Big Brother and little brother and sister. They have cuddled and played. And the most important thing that they have done since they have been home, was hear the name Jesus. The most rewarding thing we have seen and heard was Zechariah raise his arms in praise and say the name "God"! He knows who made him. and we pray one day Gideon will be able to say that Name as well one day! God has been so good to us, and we are truly blessed. Thank you everyone who has followed our adoption. Thank you to all the prayer warriors who have prayed for us during so many trying times in this adoption. Thank you for loving our boys before you ever met them, thank you for the many donations that have enabled us to do this. Because without them, we couldn't complete this adoption. Well that is where we are right now. I will post more pics and blog posts while in Latvia! You can still donate, tax deductible, through our FSP at http://reecesrainbow.org/27353/sponsorkirkland
