Consider it pure Joy my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. JAMES 1:2-4

Adoption Trip, Day 2
We must have been tired because we ended up sleeping until 8 am and the curtains are sheer! We sleep at total darkness at home, and we would have never been able to sleep with all of this light if we were not so exhausted! I made Tyler and I some hot tea and we sat and drank it in bed!! How quiet. It has been nice this morning, because we have had some time to process the boys, and where they are out, how we are feeling and everything. We both actually feel the same way. Zechariah does concern us because he has so much energy and would easily let go of our hands and could get hit by a car. We are concerned about how we can keep him safe, especially while we are here in the city. Also when we finally get our luggage, we only have a few books and toys, what are we going to do with all of that energy for 2 weeks!!!! Pray it does not rain!!!! Gideon doesn’t scare us as much, but we don’t know what it is going to be like to give him a bath or feed him. How are we going to get them to go to sleep??? But these things are not worrying us too much. We know and to be honest 100% resting in the fact that God is going to equip us with what we need, to take care of them here, and once we get home. It is going to be hard, and most likely nothing like a vacation. But Tyler and I both see that our vacation will be in Heaven. It is this time in our lives where it will be full of struggles and triumps, and we are excited to see what God is going to do with these 5 amazing children he has given us.
Victoria met us this morning at 10 am to show us around town. It is amazing here!!! We made a left out of the apartment, and there a couple hundred feet away is the center. It is a long road, but is only meant for walking, there are no cars allowed on it. And all along it are shops and restaurants and vendors with ceramic crafts and wool socks, and amber jewelry!!! All the shops and restaurants are lined with beautiful boxes of flowers and the street is lined with the tallest trees I have ever seen!!! There are Asian restaurants, Slovenian, Uzbekistani restaurants, Kebabs. Everything but there is no real L food. Lido’s, which is in R has the real L food. My friend Brooke told me we have to go there!! Hopefully we will be able to go!! And at the end of this really long strip you make a left and there is a concert hall and all of these beautiful houses with the most amazing 19 century architecture. At the end of that street is the beach!! Again it is Beautiful!! I know I keep saying that but this place is amazing. The beach is on the Baltic Bay. You can smell the salt in the cool air. The weather is chilly, in the 60’s-70’s in the day and 40’s-50’s at night. And it has been beautiful and sunny.
Victoria left us after showing us around to go to the airport to pick up Dee!! We can’t wait until she gets here! Tyler and I walked back through the center and went to one of the Kebab places. It tasted amazing. We loves eating those in Italy, and they are pretty cheap. After that we headed back to the apartment and for the last hour I have spent writing this blog post! That’s all there is for now. I told Collen Novit that I would be a good blogger, hopefully I haven’t let her down!
Our Luggage is supposed to have been on Dee’s flight, please pray that it is! We have no stroller or clothes for the boys without it!! Please keep praying that we will be able to bring the boys back here on Friday and that we can keep them safe and be able to bond well with them. Tyler and I feel so blessed because we feel God has lifted up our marriage! We have not had any arguments or stress with each other, and that makes things so much easier and better when you are in tough situations. Please pray that we will stay on one accord and will be a strong team so we can care for these boys!! Please also pray for the Shealy family as they have Hunter, Asher and Emma!! Please pray that the children would be obedient, and not get sick, and that they can enjoy this time together! We miss them so much!! We have seen so many neat things they would love!! Thank you all so much who have loves and supported us and prayed for us! God is so good to us. We feel so blessed to be on this journey.
